Nanotech for powders at scale

Applications

Enhancing materials to improve performance, lower cost and make them more sustainable is needed everywhere. Particularly for energy transition materials in applications like batteries, fuel cells and electrolysers there is enormous potential.

Delft IMP’s unique gas-phase deposition technologies for depositing ultra thin layers on powder surfaces can unlock this potential. And what is more, we are continuously expanding the range of applications using nanotech to enhance existing or introduce new materials.

Technology

Delft IMP technology has several key characteristics that makes it a game-changer for encapsulation of powders. A wide range of ultrathin coating materials are possible that protect, activate or add diverse functionalities to the surface of powders.

Services

Delft IMP offers research and development services to develop coated powders, at both lab and pilot scales, ranging from a few grams up to kilograms with our patented continuous production technology.

About us

Delft IMP B.V.

Delft IMP (Intensified Materials Production) commercializes a technology to nanocoat particles using atomic and molecular layer deposition (ALD and MLD), based on the patented and publicized IP and know-how developed at Delft University of Technology.

Following various feasibility projects with industry and university, Delft IMP was initiated end 2014 to truly commercialize the technology.

Delft IMP’s patented reactor will allow for the continuous production of coated particles at industrial scale. Nowadays, Delft IMP has validated this technology at pilot plant size, and is scaling it up further towards industrial production rates.
